Ted Owen, The Fame Bureau's Chief Executive is recognised as one of the World's leading experts in Music Memorabilia and has been at the top of his field for 30 years.

In 1988 Ted took over as Head of Department for Phillips, Entertainment section. After years of successful sales he was headhunted by Bonhams to expand and head up their entertainment department. During this period he organised the first ever all-Elvis sale in Vegas and Berlin. He then went on to organise the first via-Satellite Beatle auction broadcast from Tokyo to London incorporating for the first time Live internet bidding.

During these years, Ted consigned and brought to auction John Lennon's Imagine piano which sold to George Michael for £1.5million and broke all records with the sale of the Beatles lyrics 'All You Need is Love' for a price that is still unsurpassed to this day.

Always looking to develop and improve, Ted joined ex-city investment banker James Wilkinson and together they formed the groundbreaking auction house THE FAME BUREAU.

In 2006 THE FAME BUREAU began a pioneering Televisual pilot allowing its customers to explore the discovery and investigation of some of the World's most iconic rock memorabilia through authentication and ultimately sale.

The video investigations allow the viewer the opportunity to share The Fame Bureau's passion for rock history. Parts of these are available on YouTube.
